A chainsaw that won't idle, dies under load, or takes twenty pulls to start is almost always a carburetor problem, especially after it sat with old fuel in the tank over the off-season. We clean and tune two-stroke carbs for a living, on Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, and Poulan saws alike.
If it's not the carb, it's usually the chain. Dull teeth make the saw work (and bog) harder than it should, and a lot of what feels like an engine problem is actually just a chain that needs sharpening or a bar that needs attention. We check both every time a saw comes in.
Drop it at our shop for a $49 Initial Diagnostic Inspection (first 30 minutes, charged either way), then we get to work at our $85/hr shop rate plus parts. We're a weekend shop, so property owners and small crews across Saratoga Springs, Lehi, and Eagle Mountain drop off during the week and pick up that same weekend.

What to expect
An Initial Diagnostic Inspection is $49 and covers the first 30 minutes, charged whether or not you move forward with the repair. Chain sharpening and basic carb tuning are usually quick, affordable jobs; anything needing more time is billed at our $85/hr shop rate plus parts, and we'll get your OK before continuing.
Weekend Service
Drop it off at our shop and we'll get it running. Saturdays and Sundays, so it fits around your week.

Why won't my chainsaw idle or stay running?
Nine times out of ten it's the carburetor, usually from old fuel left in the tank between seasons. We clean and tune it, check the fuel lines, and test it under load before it goes back to you.
Do you sharpen chainsaw chains?
Yes. Chain sharpening and bar/sprocket service is part of nearly every chainsaw that comes through the shop, since a dull chain makes everything else feel worse than it is.
What brands of chainsaws do you work on?
Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, Poulan, and most other gas chainsaws. If it's a two-stroke engine, it's our bread and butter.
Can I drop off a chainsaw in Lehi or Eagle Mountain for the weekend?
Yes. We serve Lehi, Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs, and the rest of Utah County on the same weekend schedule: drop off during the week, pick up Saturday or Sunday.
